Review and Reflection

COMM140 Task 2 - Blog Post 4 - Peer Feedback

Review - Peer Feedback on Blog Post 2

Amazing work Madisson! I really enjoyed reading your blog post about the design and production process. A big stand out for me was the fact that you clearly stated the five stages of the design process with a very clear and accurate definition that will not only expand mine but many others' knowledge of the design process. Another stand out for me was the reflection of the quote that puts the idea out about what is more important: the journey or the destination. Which critically reflects on the question and the design process. A recommendation could be to put in an example of a design process that your readers would be familiar with, such as the evolution of social media.

Miss Madisson, this blog as well as the website are AMAZING! Absolutely nailed it. Your points in your blogs come across as well sophisticated, informative & crafted beautifully. You have used great references, an inspiring quote which ties it all together nicely. I would like to see something personal & how a situation in your life has come across where the final product isn’t the best thing but being able to get in trenched in the process, either big or small. Would love to get a feel of how this statement ‘final product...process’ somehow is interlinked with your very own self/life.

Reflection

One key suggestion that stood out for me through both reviews of my blog post was the need to expand on examples of the design process. Both of these reviews also put forwards suggestions of how to do this - review 1 suggested using the example of the design process behind a product that the reader would be familiar with, while review 2 suggested reflecting on the impact of a personal design process/journey.

Using this feedback, I decided to incorporate both ideas into the revised version of this blog post - reflecting on my personal experience of my college years of school. I chose this particular route with the assumption that the reader would be familiar with the educational environment and potentially be able to understand and connect with some of my own experiences from my senior years.
